For kids, educators (and parents) everywhere, the summer is quickly coming to an end. Soon, school will begin again, and it will be back to “real life.” For most, this time of year means it’s time to buy school supplies and go back-to-school shopping. As a dentist or dental team member, it’s time to see the kiddos and the rest of the family in your office for their 6-month dental cleanings. But, how do you get the word out and encourage moms to make appointments while the kids are out of school?. You can run promotions or offer specials, of course! And, we have a few ideas to get you started.
Back to School Ideas for Your Practice
- Have a giveaway for anyone who books an appointment between now and mid-September (family-friendly prize ideas include: toothbrushes, gift cards, local event tickets, etc.)
- Host a school-supply drive at your office. Work with the local school system to get a supply list or create your own, and have patients drop items off at your office.
- Feature children and families that come in for appointments before the start of the new school year on your social media and website, and share a quote or testimonial about their visit.
- Host an open house for your patients, or get involved with an existing fair, festival, or service project in your community, and encourage patients to schedule appointments for the whole family on the spot. Offer a giveaway and fun dental health tips/activities for the little ones!
When you’ve completed one or all of the above, share your photos and info. with us so we can feature it on your website and social media. Remember, the more personal content, the better!
