Keeping Your Dental Practice Afloat During COVID-19

A message from our CEO

How are you doing? How’s your family and your team?

There is a lot going on right now, and things feel very uncertain. Believe me when I say, we’re in this together. I hope you’re staying safe and healthy.

Our team is here and working, business as usual. If there’s anything we can help you with, please don’t hesitate to reach out so we can keep things moving. We’re here to help.

In that light, we’re working hard on our end to generate ideas and create content/tools that are useful to you during this time to keep momentum with your practice. We understand that your marketing and communication needs are different right now than they have ever been before and that – as the days and weeks go on – these needs will change (most likely super quickly as news, regulations, and information continues to emerge).

What you can do

This is a great time to focus on uniting your team and retaining your existing patients.

To do this, be open and honest with your team about the current state of affairs. Listen to them. Let them know they aren’t alone in whatever they’re feeling about what’s going on in the world. Let them know that their wellbeing and livelihood is important to you.

Then, do the same thing for your patients. Assemble your team, and start calling your patient base. All of the work doesn’t have to fall on you, but it’s important for your patients to know that you’re there for them and – again – that you’re all in this together. Nobody needs another COVID-19 email, but a personal touch in the form of a phone call goes a long way.

At the end of the call, you can give a gentle cue for patients to remember you once you’re reopened and to mention you to their friends and family. But, the point of this call is to check in and listen and remind your patients that you’re there and that you’d love to see them once things get back to normal.

What we can do

We’re actively working on a social media package, in addition to other resources, to help keep things running now, as you ramp up to reopening, and once you reopen. Stay tuned for more details to come!

In the meantime, we STRONGLY recommend having a current notice about how your office is handling COVID-19 on your website and social media, both of which we handle for you. If you haven’t been in touch with us to get this accomplished, or if you’ve changed your language/verbiage and haven’t let us know, please get in touch so we can get this done for you.

Making sure your patients are in the loop is one of the most important things you can do right now. As always, we’re here to help, and we’ll be in touch every week to make sure you know we’re thinking about you.

Stay healthy,

Jill Nastasia
