Before you set foot in a business, what do you do first? Nowadays, we hit the Internet and see what we can find out. We look at reviews on social media and other trusted sources to find out what other people are saying. As a dentist, you need to make sure reviews are available and offer a positive picture of your services. You need reputation management!
Where Should My Reviews Be?
Don’t worry about sites like Yelp. They simply aren’t as important as they once were for reviews. Now, people tend to look at one of the two places. The most vital is Google itself. When you look up a practice or other business, you’ll see their business information pop up, including hours of operation, location, and reviews. Having a Google My Business page is critical (and may help increase your ranking as well). You should also have testimonials posted on Facebook, another popular place for people to look for other’s opinions on a business.
How Do I Earn Positive Reviews?
First, we can help by making sure your patients can find your pages easily via Google and Facebook icons on your homepage. Next, we can discuss strategies to encourage thoughts from patients. Often, you can simply ask and satisfied patients will be happy to write up one. However, they may need a little encouragement.
Should I Try the “Have a Cup of Coffee on Us” Campaign?
We have found that offering a smaller, immediate reward can encourage a person to leave a review more than a drawing to enter to potentially win a much bigger one. We’ve started the “Have a Cup of Coffee on Us” campaign. We provide you with a nice sign to put up in your office. Patients are then asked to leave a review in exchange for a $5 Starbucks gift card. Many of our clients have had success with this strategy!
