Yesterday, we looked at five unique SEO tips. In today’s blog, we would like to take a more detailed look at one in particular: The benefits of good reviews. Positive reviews can help your SEO and also make your practice more attractive to people looking for dental care in your community. In addition, we have a fun campaign to help encourage positive reviews!
Search Engine Optimization Benefits
Google takes a lot into account when choosing rankings for a SERP. After all, they want users to find the information they need, as well as quality services. That guarantees they’ll keep using Google. Which means Google will obviously look at reviews to see what other people think of your services. Having multiple positive testimonials can be a significant benefit, just as a majority of negative ones, or none at all, can be a serious negative.
What About Bad Reviews?
That’s not to say you should remove every negative review. In fact, we recommend responding to them in a polite and mature manner, inviting the person to contact you or if (again, politely) explaining what actually happened.
As long as you have more good testimonials than bad, a few less-than-five-stars can actually help. People may be suspicious of all five-star reviews, and begin to wonder if they are legitimate. A few three and four stars can actually be helpful.
Don’t Take the Fake Route
Whatever you do, no matter how tempted you are, do not write fake reviews or have your staff do so. Google can tell and may penalize your site as a result. They should all be original and written by your actual patients.
