On Monday, August 21st the United States will experience a total solar eclipse! While these happen every year or so at different points on the Earth, one happening across the continental United States is pretty rare. So, did you run a promotion for this event, or are you going to be eclipsed?
The Importance of Running a Promotion
We found out one client bought up a ton of special glasses to allow people to glimpse the total eclipse without hurting their eyes. They then slapped their logo on them in sticker form and started handing them out to patients that schedule visits.
Promotions are a great way to help encourage people to visit. While we often help patients with specials focused on specific services, like first time checkups and cleanings or teeth whitening, you shouldn’t ignore current events, either!
Stay on Top of Current Events!
When the media begins hyping up an event like the total eclipse, pay attention. You could find an opportunity to reach out to your patients on social media, offering a fun and unique promotion tied to the event. This doesn’t have to just be related to moon passing in front of the sun, either. You can create specials related to upcoming holidays as well, such as Christmas or even Halloween! In addition, what holidays or events are unique to your specific community? These are excellent opportunities to get people in the door and help provide a little local SEO boost.
