For our clients, we always claim and manage their Google My Business listing. However, if you aren’t a client of ours and you haven’t claimed your page, you should do so. When someone looks for a dentist in your community, they’re likely to come across your GMB page. If the information isn’t accurate, you could end up losing a potential patient!
Ensure Accurate Information
First, see if there is already a listing. Google may have already pulled information from your website and social media pages to complete a page. If so, make sure the information is accurate. If this isn’t the case and you need to set up a listing, again, make sure the address, phone numbers, and hours of operation are accurate. For more information to creating a listing, visit this Google support page. We can also do this for you!
Remove Unnecessary Pages
Do you have multiple Google My Business pages? Then you need to claim it and remove extra listings. You only need one!
You won’t be surprised to hear that Google seems to place a priority on Google reviews. On your website, be sure to direct people to your Google page for them to leave reviews. Having no reviews, or primarily negative ones, can lead SEO problems. We can work with you to help encourage reviews from your patients. We even have a “Have a Cup of Coffee on Us” campaign to offer an immediate reward for reviews. A note: No matter how tempting, never have friends, family, or staff create fake ones to stuff your Google page. The search engine’s algorithms can spot them and this can have a negative impact on your rankings.
