Consistent NAP Information
Have you ever googled a business and called them, only to find out their contact information as different from that of their website or social media pages? Inconsistent NAP information can hurt SEO and inconvenience potential patients, making them more likely to seek out another office. Your NAP (name, address, and phone number) information should be consistent across your social media pages, your website and microsite, and your Google My Business listing.
Did you know that good reviews can deice how you rank for a local search? Think about it. If you were going to direct someone to a dentist in your town, would you send to them to one with no reviews, or primarily negative ones, or to the one with multiple, satisfied reviews? Five-star testimonials can offer a SEO boost. So, be sure to ask your patients to leave their thoughts on your Google page, or any of your social media ones, such as Facebook. Update Google My Business
If you change locations, remodel your office, or alter your website address or phone number, then be sure you update your Google My Business page. As we mentioned above, you want all of your information to be accurate across the board.
Have an Active Google+ Page
You may not be surprised to know that Google tends to prefer websites that also maintain a Google+ page. So, make sure yours is up-to-date and be sure to share your blogs and other content on it to keep it active.
Consolidate Duplicate Pages
Make sure you don’t have multiple Google My Business listings out there. Claim and consolidate to avoid confusion (and lower rankings).
