Lately, we’ve been covering many of the microsites our clients are adding to their practices. As more of our clients add them, others are asking questions about whether they too could benefit from one. Will your practice benefit from a microsite? How do they differ from your main site?
Common Questions About Microsites and SEO
Question: Why do some practices add them?
Answer: They are excellent means of improving SEO. First, you have the opportunity to optimize your copy and site for a handful of keywords related to a single procedure or treatment. When people look for these specialties in your community, you’re more likely to come up than you would with a single general site.
Question: What should they focus on?
Answer: A specialist of your office! For example, we have general dentists that also offer sleep apnea treatment. With a microsite, people can see the dentist’s expertise in this area. We’ve built these sites to focus on sleep apnea, dental implants, sedation dentistry, and many other different aspects of dentistry.
Question: Can I have more than one?
Answer: You can! Most only have one to focus on a specific service, such as Invisalign or another single specialty. However, some practices do have multiple ones to address several different specialties. Now, whether you will benefit SEO-wise from multiple ones, or if a single one is enough, is something out team can help you decide.
