Happy 2015! We hope that you and yours had a warm and wonderful holiday season.
Over the holidays, the MDPM Consulting team was hard at work establishing new ways to better serve our valued clients in the new year. Last month, Sara and Chris attended Dallas Digital Summit to stay up-to-date on the latest standards of SEO and digital marketing. We gained a lot of knowledge and expertise, and we’re ready to hit the ground running to take our clients’ web presences to the next level in 2015.
To begin, we need to get back to basics – so basic that we need to answer this question:
What was SEO?
Several years ago, the goal of SEO (search engine optimization) was to rank as high as possible on a search engine results page (SERP). This was done by having reputable sites linking to your website/blog, having an easy-and-quick-to-crawl website, and placing very specific keywords throughout original, accurate content to manipulate rankings.
What is SEO in 2015?
Today’s SEO is much more comprehensive, involving:
- social media
- site speed
- press and PR
- design and UX (user experience)
- CX (consumer/customer experience)
Obviously, the SEO game is more complicated than ever. From design, to technical support and code, to content, there’s more to implement and be aware of, and the MDPM Consulting team is hard at work making sure each and every one of our clients’ web presences is up-to-date with industry standards and best practices. Luckily, we’ve always made it a point to stay on the cutting edge of what’s new in the SEO world, but we’ll be implementing new features and making recommendations in the coming months to take our clients’ online dental brands to the next level.
Over the course of this year, we’ll be diving deeper into the topics above on our blog and social media channels. Why? Because we want you to understand what we’re doing for your website, blog, and other marketing efforts. But, we also want you to know we’ve got it covered. Our content marketing and technical specialists know SEO-speak just as well as they know English. We wouldn’t be very good at our jobs if we didn’t.
The face of SEO is changing, and we’re excited for the new opportunities for our clients in the new year. Of course, we’re always here to provide full-time tech support and consulting services and to answer any questions you have.
