Last night, our CEO, Jill Nastasia delivered a powerful presentation on Internet marketing for the Dallas Asian Dental Association. President, Dr. Phil Kim presided over the meeting and Dr. Diep Truong, the Chair of the Continuing Education Committee arranged for the presentation. Participants earned one credit hour of continuing education. Jill’s presentation covered the benefits of having SEO-friendly dental websites and blogs. She also discussed importance of social media in creating a strong web presence that markets dental services to potential patients.
SEO for Dentists and Dental Website Design
At the Dallas Asian Dental Association presentation, Jill stressed the effective elements of proper dental website design such as SEO-friendly code, original dental copy, unique URLs, and live text. These elements of website design along with other favored SEO tactics help drive traffic to dental websites because they are easily indexed by search engine spiders.
Original Content on Dental Websites and Blogs
To deliver the results that web users need, search engines must index the text on dental websites and blogs. If your text is unoriginal stock content, indexing spiders will push your site to the back of search engine results. Over the years, Google and other search engines have shown time after time that original content is king when it comes to boosting SEO and establishing a strong web presence.
Dental Blogging and Social Media
In addition to a properly designed dental website, Jill also explained the power of an active dental blog and social media networking in building a great Internet reputation for dentists that catches the attention of search engines. As blogs are indexed more quickly by search engines that dental websites, regular posts can help boost SEO. Furthermore, blogs improve SEO by linking to our clients’ dental websites. Social media such as Twitter, Facebook, and Google + also help dentists achieve local expert status and increase their public visibility. Utilizing social media to interact and network with current and potential patients also boosts a dentist’s appeal to the public.
