Did you watch American Idol last night? That crazy guy with the giant toothbrush and silver sequins was none other than Dr. Chris Kammer. Who dat? Dr. Kammer is the founder of the Halloween Candy Buyback program. He founded it in 2006, and it’s since become a national tradition for dentists – and patients!
Dr. Kammer is passionate about the reason dentists do what they do… he loves to make people smile. In addition to making America smile last night on Idol, he makes parents, kids, and our overseas American soldiers smile through Halloween Candy Buyback. One look at Dr. Kammer’s Facebook photos, and you can see how dedicated he is to a life filled with joy and fun.
Dr. Kammer is so passionate about people that his enthusiasm overflows into his dental practice and his marketing. But he’s not all fun and games. His cosmetic dentistry website is extremely professional, as well as user-friendly. And his training, clinical skill, and association memberships are a testament to his abilities as a dentist.
Zig Zigler promotes the fundamental truth that investing in others will ultimately result in self-investment. I agree. While I’ve not been on American Idol (I can’t carry a tune in a horse trough, much less a bucket), I share Dr. Kammer’s passion for making people smile. Maybe that’s why I’m working with dentists instead of trying to write the next Great American Novel.
So let me ask you: Do you love your life? Do you love making people smile?
I want to leave you with one thought to carry you through this Thursday…
“The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he’s always doing both.”
